Veterinary Laboratory Services Unit known as VLSU is a
laboratory diagnostic and testing services provider under the Department
of Veterinary Pathology and Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
(FVM), Universiti Putra Malaysia. |

VLSU was established in 2004 based on a
combination of 12 laboratories in FVM, UPM namely Animal Resource Unit,
Bacteriology, Biologics, Hematology & Clinical Biochemistry,
Histopathology, Molecular Biology, Parasitology, Pathology, Physiology,
Post mortem, Public Health, and Virology. These laboratories provide
routine diagnostic services to its customers. Some laboratories also
provide research services.
VLSU is headed by the Head of Department
of Veterinary Pathology and Microbiology, coordinated by a VLSU
coordinator, and assisted by a laboratory manager and 12 laboratory
coordinators. The organization structure of VLSU is shown in the

VLSU offers quality veterinary diagnostic testing and research services
to University Veterinary Hospital, government organizations, private
sector, and individuals.
A wide range of test is available. Please contact the Quality Manager or
the respective laboratory coordinator to enquire if the test that you
require in not listed or if you have special requirements. |
