|
Objective : |
|
At the end of the
course, the student would : |
- acquire
good understanding in pathological diagnosis practice with emphasis to
pathogenesis and diagnosis
- acquire
skills in necropsy methods for diagnosis
- be able
to write complete necropsy reports
- acquire
knowledge and experience in presentation and discussion of necropsy
cases
|
|
Synopsis : |
|
The course is
devoted to necropsy techniques and examination of animals in different
species other than avian submitted for diagnosis. Pathogenesis and
diagnosis are emphasized. The student will be required to write complete
necropsy reports of those cases. Selected cases will be presented at
weekly pathology rounds. Other studies include familiarization with
histology, histochemistry and electron microscopy techniques. |
