Objective :
At the end of the course, the student would :
  • able to identify signs of major diseases in small and domestic animals
  • evaluate the importance of prevention and control of common diseases in Malaysia
Synopsis :
This course introduces the students to various important diseases in small and large animals prevailing (especially) in this country. This course emphasizes many aspects of the diseases such as aetiology, epidemiology, control and disease eradication program. This course also covers usage and storage of vaccines, management and disinfection methods in intensive production system. The Animal Ordinance Act and the issuance of Animal Health Certificate are also discussed.
