Centre for Tropical Animal Production and Disease Studies (CENTRAS)


The Centre for Tropical Animal Production and Disease Studies (CENTRAS) was formed in 1983  in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science. The objectives of CENTRAS is to be the centre of  excellence committed to serving society by promoting and developing expertise in tropical animal production and disease. The implementation of the objective is reflected in its function as a co-ordinating body in the faculty towards the advancement in knowledge and research through continuing education programmes such as seminars, workshops and short courses, linkages in research and dissemination of knowledge with local and international agencies.
